It's the off-season, and Alexi Piastri has been surfing up and down the west coast since the Monarchs early playoff exit in S74. Piastri has signed with the Los Angeles Panthers so these surf trips are going to be a lot easier to make happen now. Anyways, he's on the central Oregon coast at an air bnb, he's read in the reviews that a guest recently elected not to stay a second night after experiencing weird vibes, particularly when stuff started falling off the shelves and the table. This place is close to a couple of pretty great secret surf spots though that really kick up when the winter swells hit. So Alexi decided to book it for a couple of nights. Night one, after about 7 hours if a great sesh with only a few other people out, bam out of nowhere, its the ghost of his ex coach, Australian legend Brody Shaeffer. Brody gives him shit for becoming a playmaker now and not scoring as many goals. 66 assists??? What the hell happened to the guy who set the SMJHL record with 60 goals?? Good times.
