Jack St. Clair has never been to Japan before so when he first found out he would be heading there for the first two games of the season he was really excited! Then reality sunk in though. He wouldn't be going there with the Edmonton Blizzard, but the Toronto North Stars, a group of players he hasn't had much time to bond with and get to know. So to be heading to a foreign country with a bunch of people he didn't know, started to feel a bit overwhelming. As the date got closer the excitement started to return, this was a chance to showcase the league and more specifically St. Clair's skills to a global market. More importantly though, it was sort of like being thrown right into the fire. He may not have been the most comfortable around his teammates before the trip, but an experience like this is a surefire way to get to know everyone at a much deeper level and there is no better way to develop that chemistry and team bonding.
