The tempting answer for some sort of super abilities to give a goal would be something like super speed. But at that point you're really just making the goalie into a bit of a brick wall, which is no fun at all. There's a few entertaining items that I think you could add to a goaltender that would make it more interesting for fans. One option would be super strength, so that a goalie could not be knocked off their spot. A lot of aggressive players would certainly think twice about running into the goaltender if they knew they could bench press a truck. But that's not very exciting for the fans at home, so we'll nix that. Another option would be to give the goaltenders laser eyes. No longer will they be stuck in the net, unable to impact the game beyond the crease. It would certainly give breakaway players something to think about as they charge down the ice. Perhaps the most intriguing option though is invisibility. The goalies can't be seen, so the opposing team isn't completely sure where they should be placing their shots, or when they are about to be decked in open ice.
