Tonight was wiiiild. Got invited to the neighbors and my kid finally is friends with the other little girls in the neighborhood. Neighbor’s cousin leaves angry and drunk and neighbor is ANGRY with cousin for driving drunk and making everyone at the party worry about him. Cousin supposedly gets home safe so it’s time for fireworks. Neighbor almost explodes the back porch with fireworks. Neighbor lady is MAD at her husband and I don’t blame her. End up taking the fireworks to the driveway which works way better than the back yard. Fireworks are beautiful except it turns out my kid is terrified of them. Walk home a quarter of a mile in the dark with my sobbing child and now trying to get her to go to sleep three hours past bedtime.
