Option 1: The idea of getting to cook for all of his pals, regardless of the competition aspect, really excites Wolfgang! He has spent his life cooking for his friends and family and is excited to bring that love to St. Louis. He decides to make one of his most famous dishes: Wolfgang Puck’s Mushroom Risotto. He starts with Arborio rice (the most important part of risotto) and adds rich butter and his amazing homemade chicken stock. As this simmers down, he sautés the mushrooms (shitake are his favorites) in a separate pan - making them ready to mix into the rich risotto. When he finally plates, he tops the delicious dish with fresh shaved parmesan. He says he doesn’t care about the competition part, but that’s probably because this dish is always a winner! After dinner, he decides to surprise his teammates with his favorite dessert: Molten Chocolate Lava Cakes. These are his go-to as they are so quick to make and look insanely impressive compared to the effort it takes to make them! His homemade whipped cream is the best topper for this decadent dessert. He thinks this will sway anyone who tastes it!
