By far the biggest "aw fuck it's SO over" moment I've
had…. happened in the J. My experience in the SHL
proper (scolding to distribute my TPE before a deadline aside, sorry Eddie!) has been brief and one of playing with house money so far. The J was a different story - because of the huge draft class the Quebec City Citadelles pretty much always had some expectation to win the Four Star Cup at the outset of the season, and somehow it wouldn’t happen. The worst of it was the third season for sure. Semifinals against Colorado, we’re up 2 games to none. Vibes are at an all time high. And then… we drop a game. Whatever, we’ll recover and win the series… and then lose the series in 6. Absolutely sucked shit. Whole team had to kinda take the off-season to process that, but it especially sucked realizing we only had one more shot after that before we all went to the SHL. We kinda had to come together as a team to refocus and lock in. I think it worked out well enough
