The start of S78 for Toronto ''North Stars''
#1

Season 78 is getting closer to the middle of it. Every single SHL team is close to 20 games, which means that ''play-offs'' are coming faster and faster. Unusual thing for Toronto ''North Stars'' is being better than average. Right now, it's actually happening.

10 victories and 6 losses. ''North Stars'' are sitting at the 8th position in the entire league right now. Of course, season is long and it all might change, but it's a good start of the season. We are decent at pretty much every aspect of the game. We have more scored than allowed goals. We have the same record at home and on the road, which is five wins and three losses. Team is consistent and actually solid.

Last couple of seasons Toronto had many changes in the roster. Off-season always came with surprises and this season wasn't any different. Team added right wing forward Lasse Zeigler from Texas ''Renegades'' who just had almost 100-point season. Left wing forward Andrade La Sombra meanwhile is having his rookie season in Toronto and it's more than better individually. Multiple players are having just third or fourth season with ''North Stars'' as well. Free agency, trades and new players getting better always change up the system of Toronto.

We can't deny that our goalies are playing a very important role too. Front office is doing a good job right now with rotating our goalkeepers. Our primary goalie Denebor Milash is having a similar season to the previous one save percentage wise and I would like to say that it's the most important thing for him. In off-season we acquired Just Perfection from Calgary ''Dragons'' which is a solid back-up goalie. His statistics are proving it. He is not having so many chances to play, but when he has - he is doing his best to prove his worth.

Our primary defender Ace Lightning is at his level as always. Left wing forward Filip Svatos right now has scored only one goal, but it doesn't stopping him from getting points. He is working very hard to help his team and it's working. Mac Griddle has his second season with ''North Stars'' and it has a solid start as well. All team is putting in work and working as a one.

Past seasons there has been multiple changes in the head office as well. Not only coaches, assistants and players has changed, but GMs as well. It's understandable that it has an impact on the team. Players has had their ups and downs. However, this is a new season and the start has been good. We know that we won't be the bottom team, so the fight for that champion trophy is active.

However, Toronto is doing just fine right now, but the situation is similar to the previous season. ''North Stars'' had a decent start then as well, but didn't keep up the pace. Teams sorted out their lines, strategies and passed those Canadians in the standings. Team fell down and had a very hard first round opponent, losing pretty quickly. Toronto isn't the best team in any aspect of the game this season as well. However, their strength is an ability to be consistent. Previous season it didn't work out, but if this team can stay consistent or be even better, then the championship is the limit.

Toronto has about 20 scored goals less than all seven teams above them. However, some of those teams who are higher has much more allowed goals too. The situation in the table is slippery right now. It's just the start of the season and there is like 50 more regular season games left. The most important thing is to win games against underdogs and our close contestants. It's obvious that we can't win all games, but to get the confidence up, it's very important to win as much as possible.

If we are talking about Aumy Junior II then he is having a solid start of the season right now as well. He has finally returned to play as a center forward after two seasons at the left wing. He has 12 goals and 11 assists in just 16 games, which means that he is on a pace to have his individually best season yet. However, it would be kind of obvious, because it's his fifth season in the league and he is coming closer to his peak. However, season is long and a lot of stuff can change, so he has to keep up his ability to help team with points as well.

I think that the most important part is to keep being supportive to each other. This squad has changed a lot in the past seasons, but some of guys have stayed no matter what. I think that it's the juice that keeps everything together. If we can stay active, supportive and try to improve our players as much as we can, we might actually make a good run. Will it work out? Will see. Luckily, the season is pretty long and if it won't work this season, we will try to do our best the next one. However, let's try to go for that chip.

New season is just at it's beginning. Seems like there will be an interesting fight for that championship. Which team will go out as a champion? Good luck to all squads and players.
