There would be dozens of charities deserving their own event, but Jaromir Jagrbomb decided this time to pick a cause that typicallly does not get the spotlight it deserves, at least in sports teams' special nights. He chose a local shelter for homeless animals, aiming to raise awareness about puppy farming and the amounts of perfectly good pets there are looking for a loving home. The special-made jerseys will be auctioned after the game, and the profits will all go to funding an awareness campaign in the local area. The jerseys will be very special: there will be the real player numbers in the back, but the names will be not the player names, but names of the homeless animals in the shelter. And on the front, instead of a team logo, there will be a picture of the animal in question. This way the jerseys might also give someone a spark to adopt a new pet responsibly.
