The Vancouver Whalers are entering the playoffs after a slightly disappointing year, but with hopes of repeating their Four Star Cup victory in S77. Well over half the roster is returning from that championship, so they have the experience needed for a Cup run, though with no veteran goalies, that run may be cut short, since Doom Guy and Cristobal Khabibulin struggled in the first half of the season. Vancouver has no superstar to lead the team, with only NoNo Jo and Olafur Atlason having 60 points, David Vent on the blueline had 36, the most for their defenders. Rookies Dominic Enselmo and Levon Dojkic combined for 48 points on the third line, showing promise for future years, when they will step up into the roles of those departing for the SHL. As of today, the Whalers have won both of their games against Great Falls, and will look to defeat them as soon as possible.
