Badger has enjoyed the first season within the SMJHL, he has improved and done better than their own expectations as a rookie even with the shift in his position ever so slightly.
For the most part, he had assisted in most goals for Nevada Battleborn with a couple of goals on the side (154 shots on goal) and the suprise of racking up a whooping 64 points as a rookie center (and only 8 penalties in minutes). He also challenged 3WW Wingmate Roc's 19.5% and Gina Pinard's 17.1% shooting percentage with a solid 18.2%. It was to be expected that a four-legged animal had to learn the proper way to mesh with his team. Whilst he is still new and still learning, he is still competing for rookie of the year and chasing after the next big challenge to be up there with the stat contenders and league leaders, or eventually become a league leader. It was fun for him experiencing the bigger junior leagues, bumping shoulder pads with veterans on the ice and the rookies who had joined with him in the draft. With a very close run at the top of the conference and a potentially disappointing end to the season finishing 4th, Badger hopes to bring them and see NBB into the top 3 or even a gold medal finish.
