We are rounding the last corner and the teams are sprinting to the finish. After four days of group play, we can start to see who will be in the playoffs and who won’t be. It’s not that easy for all the teams though. Some teams will be fighting on day 5 to make it into the playoffs.

In group A, the home team, Switzerland  , remain atop the group. Many would consider day 3 and 4 to be “moving day”. The day in which a team can move themselves up the standings. Norway did just that, launching themselves to second place. With two games in hand on Switzerland, they could easily take first in the group. In their first year in the tournament, Quebec, who currently sits one 2 points out of a playoff position, will need a strong finish to round out the group stage in order to make the knockout round. The defending champs will also be looking for a strong final day as they sit 2 points out with one less game remaining. 

From Group A, the teams who have earned a spot into the playoffs are Switzerland  , Norway , and Sweden . No teams are mathematically eliminated although Finland will need to win out and need some major help.

Canada continues to dominate Group B with only 1 loss. Not much movement has occurred in group B since the last recap with the exception of France and Czechia switching places. Canada has first place locked up with the next five teams fighting for 3 spots. Czechia , currently sitting in 4th, has 4 games remaining. The most of any team.
