Jarrod Lakemore feels a bit conflicted about being picked to announce Buffalo's first draft pick. On one hand, he understands that it is an honor to be chosen and there were plenty of other worthy candidates available. On the other hand, he is not one for fanfare and being put on the public stage like this is a bit out of character for him. Furthermore, Lakemore himself wasn't projected to go high and he wasn't invited to attend the draft like the expected top picks were. Lakemore himself would end up going in the middle of the second round with Buffalo's third pick of the draft, so he does feel a little strange to be announcing Buffalo's new top pick when he himself wasn't one. Still, Lakemore has had several great seasons for Buffalo and is popular with the fans, so he knows the fans would appreciate seeing him on draft day. Though it may not be his strong suit, he'll do his best to handle the draft pick announcement with aplomb.
