The secret to this announcement is that Jamie Fraser has been orchestrating every Montreal Patriotes pick for the last four seasons, since he orchestrated his own pick at the start of the S76 entry draft. Since then, Fraser has been hard at work in the back rooms of the league making sure that he's surrounded by peers that he's chosen. Most recently, this has resulted in the addition of Chuck Stewart to a prospect pool that has started to include more and more Carolina Kraken lottery picks. The announcement itself was very pedestrian and Fraser was somewhat stereotypically uncomfortable in suit at the podium, the pick was well received by the fans in attendance, the handshake and hug between the two looked comfortable and passed the vibe check, and the time traveling forward was quick to exit stage left at the earliest opportunity. All in a all a successful and uneventful announcement.
