I am playing for the Ottawa Highlanders, which I believe will have a big upswing this season with some great additions in the rookie core and some older players ready to make the next big step. I believe there will be an improvement across the board but mainly we're looking at some great new additions from the current draft class.
The 5 ft 11 in, 210 lbs. centerman Peyton Campeau have put on a lot of muscles in the off-season, and is ready to have an break-out season. In the pre-season he managed to double his points comparing to previous pre-seasons, and led the team by a margin. With an 43% shooting percentage, we're looking at an shoot first mentality player, if paired with a proper playmaker will light up the league this season. For our next player we don't need to look no further than Mr. Lunch himself, Hotdog Lunch! The right winger, standing at 6 feet tall 190 lbs. will have a great pairing with Peyton, where the few snipes that don't find it's target will be swooped up by Peyton and put in the net. Truly a fearful combo. And for our dark horse, we set our aim at Rookie Leo Carlsson. He comes in the league with a bit of mystery, picked at 5OA and great versatility. Lowest ice-time on the team, but still managed point per game, with 5 goals 2 assists. He even showed of a bit of a goonery with a fight win. Are the we seeing the Highlanders discover a physical threatening 2-way? I believe so! |
