Honestly, Teddy Bloos' situation is interesting. The reality is that niche penalty killers aren't nearly flashy enough to be a coveted big time media star. He's not a bad player per se, but it's clear that the team has other players that are far more compelling, like Puddles O'Duckling, an outstanding power forward, as well as a star studded goaltender in Grant Berd.
However, Teddy has one big thing going for him that has caused the media to really pick up steam in the Thunder Bay hockey community. Indeed, you see, Teddy was drafted in the first round by the Tampa Bay Barracuda over the off-season. A first round pick to come out of the inaugural draft class of the Walleye is a big deal, and this has caused some more hype around him as he returns for his sophomore campaign in the SMJHL. It has taken some getting used to, but Teddy is just focused on doing the job and helping the team out with his no nonsense style of hockey.
