Thunder Bay Walleye +1401 Nevada Battleborn - 1720
Quebec Citadelles +929 Vancouver Whalers -1351
Anchorage Armada +708 Kelowna Knights - 758
These results are quite interesting, and show obvious reasons for why the Maine Timber won the Four Star Cup so easily, and what happened to Vancouver and Nevada at the beginning of S79. There is still a fair amount of chance that dictates the results, but for the most part, these numbers agree with the standings. The bottom six teams in the standings are the bottom six on the real leader board, but the comparison falls apart at the top, with most of the top TPE teams being in the middle, with the exception of Maine. So it seems that if your bad you are really bad, and if you're anything else, you could end up anywhere. For example Anchorage has improved quite a bit, but are faring worse the the year before, even though last years teams were better.
I made several predictions last year, most failed, but I did call Maine's easy Cup victory. This year I guess that Maine will pull a back to back, upsetting Newfoundland in the finals, and the Quebec Citadelles run is cut short by the Thunder Bay Walleye. The Vancouver Whalers finish with 7 total wins, and easily win the draft lottery, and snag a solid defenseman who carries the team in S80.
So in conclusion, I would say that TPE really only matters if you are really bad like Vancouver, or really good like Maine last year. (All the numbers were added up by me and are vulnerable to human error)
