Written Option 2:
The most important person for Weston Windsor is almost certainly the physiotherapist. Although he doesn't play an overly physical game, his stark decline last season helps to show the impact that injuries can have on a player even in their early career. Throughout the entire off-season, he worked with team doctors and physiotherapists to try to help fix his knees after his strange skating style -- one regarded as quick, but which placed disproportionate stress on the inside of his joints -- began to cause excessive wear and tear on his body. Weston claims that the work of the physio and medical team has helped him prepare for the much larger burden of higher ice-time this season. While his play still isn't lighting the world on fire, Windsor looks to be as healthy as a player of his age should be, and looks to be in good condition to make the jump to the SHL proper next season. Without the kind of focused attention that a proper medical staff can offer, Windsor's career might have risked an early end as his natural athleticism began to fail to account for his oft-reckless play. |
