While morale is already very high in Tampa Bay, a team can never have enough good vibes in the locker room. Coming so close to a championship last season, Tampa has been trying to figure out something to push them over the edge to hopefully end the longest championship drought in the SHL. In order to give the team that little extra boost, team ownership has decided to get the team a pet that will travel with them on the road and be at the arena on home game days. The pet they got is a dog, a Portuguese Water Dog to be exact. Portuguese Water Dogs are excellent swimmers and will do well to represent this aquatic team. The Tampa Bay Barracuda are well known for their team chant “chomp chomp water dog”, and what animal could be better to be the team’s pet than a literal water dog. This is a match made in heaven.
