• Listen, the Whalers are bad this year. It just is what it is, but the locker room is really leaning into the meme (considering we're on pace to be the worst regular season team in SMJHL history, we kind of have to or it's just sad). As such, I would 100% be recommending song number 1 to meme the shit out of our regular season so far. Think of songs like Loser by Beck.
  

2) *Insert KPOP song title* - by *Insert KPOP group name*

• Seriously, I can't came a single one. All I can tell you is there is way too many KPOP fans in the Whalers locker room for a KPOP song to NOT be on the pregame playlist, so...like...just put your fave one here or whatever, I'm sure they'll be into it. I cannot understate how much KPOP is referenced.
  

3) *Insert Alt/Punk/Pysch rock song title - by * Insert Alt/Punk/Psych rock band name*

• I have no words to describe the unrelenting wave of songs and bands in this style of music that are talked about on a daily basis. The only genre discussed as much as KPOP, this genre of music is a big favourite of many a person in the locker room, from us rookies all the way up to the GMs themselves. Think of bands like Cage The Elephant, I DON'T KNOW HOW BUT THEY FOUND ME, Arctic Monkeys, etc. For those of you who are into this style of music, Vancouver also recommends bands like Mother Mother and Updog.
  

4) *Insert Rap song* - by *Insert Rap artist*

• This is a bit of newer addition, as I've only heard rap discussed once in the locker room. However, since it was TECHNICALLY talked about and just so happens to be my favourite genre, I'm putting it on the list. JID is the only rapper that's been discussed, and I'd be okay with JID making an appearance on the playlist. However, if we're trying to really get pumped up for a game, there's some old Eminem songs that I'd throw on here, and just an overwhelming amount of '90s boom bap that guarantees you don't have feelings if it doesn't get you pumped up.
  

5)*Insert KPOP song title AGAIN* - by *Insert KPOP group name AGAIN*

• Guys, it's huge here. It's gotta be at least 25% of what's talked about. There's a handful of people who just bounce back and forth on this topic. There's no escaping the KPOP. My eyes have grown 3 sizes since I've been here. My tinnitus is no longer a ringing noise, it is an anime woman saying uWu over and over again. I haven't slept in weeks. Please send help.
