Over a campfire on the end of a spit slowly turned so it cooks evenly. What made you join the SHL? I love hockey and I've really enjoyed the PBE so I figured a hockey sim league can't not be fun. If you could travel back to any point in time, what would it be and why? It's cliche but Ancient Rome right around the fall of the Republic and the rise of the Emperors. It would be so fascinating to see what is actually fact and what is fiction. If you had to give a 30 minute lecture from memory what topic would you choose? Canoe Camping 101 What color would your lightsaber be and why? Green because blue is too basic despite being my favourite colour and it matches my eyes. What kind of play style are you hoping to have for your player? I want to be a true two way defenceman, contributing on the offensive end while being a solid dependable defender at the same time. In honor of your team’s Pride Night, you’re being asked to wear a pride-themed warmup jersey to be auctioned off for the benefit of a local LGBTQ+ youth charity. How do you respond? Hell yeah! Bi pride ?️? Any hobbies you’ve been into lately? Is sim leagues an acceptable answer haha. What is your opinion on The French? Ils sont tolérables je suppose. What is the best book you have read and why? (Comics included) My Name is Asher Lev by Chaim Potok. It deals with the struggle of an artistically gifted child growing up in a strict religious household and the impact it has on his family and community. The story is incredibly compelling and I can relate a lot to the whole religious struggle and finding your own way thing. A young fish asked an old salmon, "How do you navigate the currents so well?" The salmon chuckled, "It’s just like hockey—know when to push and when to flow." What strategies do you use to navigate challenges on and off the ice? I always try and keep a positive optimistic attitude. Also meditation and moving heavy objects in the gym help keep my mind sane. Taylor ham or Pork Roll? Pork roll Pineapple on Pizza? Absolutely What is your Mount Rushmore of hockey? Gretzky, Orr, Lemieux, Brodeur If you were to choose a breed of dog you would most likely be, what would it be and why? Tibetan Mastiff/St. Bernard hybrid. I'm really big, fiercely loyal and protective, happy and energetic but also often sleepy. |
