Yeah me and jakub (ALEXA!) were invited to be the play by play and commentator for baseball. You know we’re hockey bros so baseball isn’t exactly in our wheelhouse. We had just played in Carolina so we prepared by going to a Savannah bananas game and boy was that fun. We were in the stands studying how they played and were surprised that they danced so much. We watched the game play and decided we were equal to the task. We headed to Atlanta to Truist Park for a Braves vs Brewers game. Surprisingly neither team showed up drunk. Then it was more surprising that not one of the players danced like the game we saw. We began calling the game and quickly learned that the periods are called innings and goals are runs. We are still trying to figure out what you have to do to make an out but you only get three of them per quarter? Either way we stuck together and made it fun. At one point the radio announcers set up a time delay for us and we watched their radio transcript closed caption style and just said what they said. There was an overtime goal scored by the Brewers and surprisingly the braves got a chance to make a point. They didn’t and the guy that shoots the ball to the squatting goalie was really excited. I would do that again in a heartbeat.
