If Jeremy were invited to be a guest commentator, then he would most definitely start off by .. well, not studying at all. He wouldn't care too much about his preparation, because while he greatly enjoys playing hockey, it isn't his favorite thing to watch, let alone be a part of talking about. He mostly slides on the ice, trying to get the puck from anyone else, trying to figure out what the actual plays are has never been his strong suit. Jeremy wouldn't spend any time preparing, and would instead, just kind of bat his paws at the monitors that would be placed in front of him, hoping throughout the night that he would be able to get the puck in his little paws. When that inevitably doesn't work, Jeremy would grow so frustrated, he probably ends up starting to eat the other commentators, or the desk and camera crews that are around the area. Ultimately, it would end so poorly, he would not be invited back.
