Looking back at Kim Chaewon's rookie season, it went above expectations! Her main goal for the season was to get acquainted with the league and familiarize herself with her new teammates and develop some chemistry with her linemates. Carolina wasn't expected to be this good and finished 1st in their conference. Going into S80, Chaewon is focused on increasing her physical attributes as there are some big and strong players that she needs to be able to compete against and in her rookie season they took advantage of her small frame and used their physicality to impose their will on her.

This off-season Kim Chaewon is going to bulk up and improve her strength, balance and speed on the ice. Being a center as well, she needs to improve her skills in the faceoff dot so there will be many faceoff drills in the off-season too. Next season in Carolina, we're going to comeback rejuvenized and hungry to build upon this past season with the lessons learned.
