Considering when I got claimed off waivers I don't think there really even were that many expectations on me for the 25 games I played this season. That being said I think I can be proud of how I performed and rose to the challenge. I slotted in immediately on the 2nd defense pair and was playing 22 minutes a night right out the gate. It definitely was a bit of a transition but I'm happy I was able to rank up seven assists. That first career point is a moment I know I'll never forget. With how our season went as a team there wasn't a lot to celebrate, but the locker room was crazy after that one. Also I know it's really not the best stat, but considering our team goal differential was over -200 I'm happy my plus minus was only minus 9. All in all I think my shortened season helped to set a great foundation that I can build on as I grow into a better player.
