1. CW TRIVIA, 3 TPE max - 1.5 TPE for participation, 0.5 TPE for each correct answer. This is completed through a Google form linked below. Make sure to spell your answers correctly or you will not get credit. Post your verification word in your CW post.
woo 2. Gnabe Dabson leads in both goals and points while Tony Soprano is second for both. Is that enough to give offensive advantage to Philadelphia? (156 words, 3 TPE) The philidelphia forge undoubtedly have some top tier talent up front on their forward lines that propels them to having one of the strongest offenses in the SHL. However, unfortunately for them, I believe they have drawn a matchup against one of the few teams in the league that can surpass their attacking firepower. While the forge have great players such as Tony Soprano and Gnabe Dabson leading the charge, I believe that San Francisco’s top forward options are just as talented, and they also have superior depth scoring when compared to the forge. The pride have 3 forwards sitting over 2000 TPE, which is truly remarkable. The trio of Webb, Scholz, and Baylè, not to mention having 2 other forward just below 2000 and another just below 1900 to round out to top six, really is too much for even the best defensive teams to handle. Even the forge cannot matchup with this overwhelming firepower. 3. Cale Salad is currently 6 points ahead of next defencemen in points for these playoffs, if they keep it up could we see defenceman winning Anton Razov? (117 words, 2 TPE) I would personally love to see a defenseman get some love when it comes to the Anton Razov trophy for playoff MVP. Unfortunately, barring some really remarkable circumstances, I do not think we will ever see a defenseman win this award while we are using FHM 8 as the league’s sim engine. The sim places far too much emphasis on forwards, and specifically centers, when it comes to team offense. If a player is going to get the playoff MVP based on points, it will be a forward. The only other position that has a shot at that award is a goalie and even then they need a legendary performance across 4 rounds to get a look. |
