I believe that the United States of American will win the IIHF tournament. The team is stacked from top to bottom and features some of the best stars in the SHL all together on one team. Arguably their strongest part of the team is the defense, which is led by multiple high powered and minute eaters for their respective SHL teams. I am watching because I am an American and very connected to the country and it would mean the world to see the USA team bring home the gold medal, as I hope one day to be able to wear the red, white and blue.

I would like to see an in-season tournament similar to what the NBA does during their regular season. They have an in season tournament that features all of their teams and has a really good money payout to incentivize competitive play. I think that this is a good idea for the SHL to start because it gives a sense of playoff hockey about a month before the actual playoffs begin. This would also help boost up viewership as it keeps the fans more entertained throughout the season. It would also allow for some of the bottom teams in the league to make a competitive push to try and win something during the season rather than just tanking for a high overall draft pick.
