Drafted 43rd in the SMJHL, the UK native William Marshal made his way out to the desert to join his Battleborn teammates. Marshal traveled to Vegas from Boston, after coming to the states a month prior to acclimate and train for the upcoming season. In typical Harry Reid International Airport fashion, his flight was delayed, then stuck on the tarmac for 90 minutes after landing. A rather unceremonious welcome to the city, but one on par for a late round pick in a junior hockey draft. With the help of the 35th president himself, Marshal has dove right into training and shaping his game to be an effective piece for the Battleborn. While there may not be much buzz around Marshal compared to some of Nevadas other high profile prospects, Marshal seems to have accepted his role with grace, and is using his physical frame and intimidating presence during practice to help bolster the young and promising Battleborn goalie, Claude L’Castor, for the upcoming season.
