Option 2:
Training camp is super important for athletes. It shaves off all the rust from the off-season and is the best place to really work on your game and hone your skills. There's really no time during the season to do some of these specific drills so training camp is crucial to a great season. During training camp, I focus on the physical side of the game. The mental side is developed throughout the season when you're put into different situations that you need to deal with. Training camp is the time to work on your skills and focus on the parts of your game you need to develop for the season. I love working on my skating and really improve on that. As a defenceman, I want to be able to skate every which way and move well. I work on my leg workouts and do a bunch of different skating drills to really stay sharp on my skates. I also make sure to work on my on-ice strength so I can handle the physical nature of the game and not get pushed around, especially on the boards. Training camp is crucial and I love using it to really give time to developing my physical skills on the ice. (209 words)
