Elvar Gil-Galad is beyond excited for his first season in the SHL with the Chicago Syndicate. He has spent the off-season training hard both physically and mentally. His physical training has not differed since he joined the juniors four seasons ago. Everything to the max. Every opportunity to train and earn gains has been taken advantage of. He is prepared.

Mentally might be another story. Chicago is finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel after a few seasons of rebuild and Elvar will probably tested as the big bois of the league hope to take advantage of the rookie goalie. It's going to be hard to stay mentally focused as other teams may potentially score 5+ goals per game but Elvar knows the glory seasons are yet to come.

He hopes to just fit in and take the licks as Chicago hopes to improve on last season's results. There may be some stingers this year, but as long as Elvar stays positive for the future and finds his place in the Chicago line-up, all will be awesome in the next few seasons.
