Considering Optimus Autonomous is a robot, they do not care what city they are in. Sure, they have knowledge about every city and perhaps they even have a preference based upon some statistical analysis, but for the most part, they will adapt just the same no matter what city they’re in. That said, Optimus is eager to play hockey for the Ottawa Highlanders!

Optimus’s arrival in Ottawa was a momentous occasion both as the Highlanders first round pick and a seemingly legitimate autonomous robot playing in the SMJHL. They, along with their “owner” turned agent Robert LeBlanc, were greeted by GMs Frenchie and Ruggsy upon their arrival and ushered to the Canadian Tire Center to check out the arena and facilities. Of course, everyone is keen to meet Optimus to see what it’s like to interact with a robot that has chosen to play hockey.

Optimus’s first impression of the locker room was that it was perfectly adequate. They had surprisingly little to say as they took everything in. They understand the significance of their presence on the team and in the league as well as the reservations some might have. Optimus just wants to improve his knowledge of the game and skills on the ice then let their play do the talking. Acquaintances can be made at a later time.
