I don't actually see the problem with it. Chirps are only ever gonna be stupid random things that's kind of the point, I don't see how it's harmful in any way if people just post "blargh" and move on. It's never going to be a high effort thing, let it mainly just be ACs for money. 

Also, I do wonder what the parameters on a "good" chirp are. Is it just a word count? Is it a purely subjective gauge of effort?

I think the problem with paying out upwards of 5.4m per season for posting “blargh” is self evident. Nobody is asking for high effort, and it is basically ACs for money.

The parameters are difficult to fully define, but I will have an announcement posted with general rules of thumb. Ultimately it is subjective since we can’t explicitly describe every single way that someone could post up some slop. However it is quite easy to avoid the subjective scrutiny by taking the extra 1-2 seconds to type out something that isn’t a waste of space and time to read. Ultimately, Chirper is meant to be basically ACs for money. But it’s a trade off. There has to be a certain, if minimal, level of engagement there. Otherwise we’re just printing money for absolutely nothing of value and wasting our time with it.

I appreciate the concern and hesitancy towards scrutiny, but there’s nothing to wring your hands over here. The bar is still going to be incredibly, generously low relative to the payout.
