The Battleborn are in a peculiar spot this season. They’re not really considered among the leagues elite in terms of maxed players or total tpe, but they do have some great builds at every position, and a youth wave that will hopefully only get stronger as the season rolls on. They are also in the weaker southern conference, so if the Battleborn can get hot at the right time, they could be dangerous in the playoffs. This teams hopes ride on the performance of their stars, starting with:
Drew McIntyre - LW McIntyre is the battleborns strongest winger, and their best offensive threat. Expect to see them log heavy minutes this season. If they are at the peak of their game, they could go far. Coming off a 28 goal/64 point sophomore season, McIntyre has already proven themself as an effective weapon, and has a chance to take it to all star levels this year. Badger Hennessy - C Another offensive heavy forward, Badger had a bit of a down year after moving from RW to Center. Yet some of that is probably attributed to the team wide struggles, the Battleborn need Hennessy to have his best year yet if they hope to contend. Jack - G Despite a 4.9 GAA in their rookie season, Jack was able to put together a number of wins in a small stretch of games. And being able to hold out for those wins is more important than any stat. Yet in the first 10 games this year Jack has been off to a lightning start. Boasting a much better save % and GAA, they has also racked up 7 wins in 9 games. If they can keep up this level of play, the Battleborn will cruise through the playoffs. |
