Unless something has changed (And its possible it has), the PBE has communication with the devs for OOTP and they can usually get big issues fixed. For the SSL, FM is just an objectively better engine with more customization to allow sim leagues to do what they need. FHM is rigid and doesn't really like everything we try and do (Which is why scouting errors will always exist for example) and the devs don't really care to fix any bugs since FHM is not nearly as big of a revenue driver as OOTP. So we make do with what we can but its definitely a bigger fight than other leagues.

Someone of course please tell me if I'm wrong but that's my general knowledge from the sim engine side.

That's odd, because I was under the impression that our pain points with FHM didn't have too much to do with sim frustrations, I could be wrong, but I don't think the simmers go and verify scouting errors for all the players on all the teams. I dunno what other issues arise as a cause of FHM directly in regards to the sim team. I know that there is potential for tactics to not be uploaded, or a failed upload, or the need to input tactics manually, or goalie swaps, but these things when they do happen are usually only the result of a couple people at a time and can I assume be fixed in a couple minutes during the start of a sim where there's a bit of a delay to start anyways.

I think there is room for input on how to fix things and it's clear that HO is already trying to do it during their stewardship of the sim team where they fired the previous sim team head. I think you can make headway on educating users on how time is spent for a sim, or how to sim in general. Some kind of rundown like, yeah I need to check the goalie swaps and do those, that takes me 5 - 10 minutes, I gotta check the lines thread for this and it takes me this amount of time, and god forbid if someone fucks up that tanks my ability to sim on time and etc etc. maybe it would be helpful if GMs knew what it was like to sim without having to sign on for a full season of simming.

Ive seen a lot in this thread, or on discord, where a lot of the time people say things that basically boil down to simmers have it way harder than you therefore you should not speak, and it's possible that this can lead to frustration for people as well. At the end of the day, we should obviously all be nice to each other, I don't think anyone is disagreeing with that (At least I'm not). But what's the point of stopping people from being a dick when they're frustrated, if they're just gonna be frustrated anyways? All thatll do is cause shit to boil over at some point.

I dunno, maybe I'm just yapping because I really do care about the league. So does everyone else in this league too, in this thread specifically I can look at how scud was responded to, and I don't think it's entirely fair. I believe that we all care a lot about how shit works, and we all want the league to be the best it can be, and that includes HO, the owners, simmers, GMs, regular players and perhaps scud. I think when you fool yourself into thinking people are here only to stir shit up or to want the league to die, you need to take a step back.
