rowing up in Busan there was not a lot of Winter Sports to really get involved in, as even if the city is quite sizable, there are a limited number of ice sheets to do anything on. As a beach city, there’s no frozen lakes and ponds to really get out to, so most get into warm weather sports if anything. Ju-gong himself was more of a badduk player in his free time, a strategy board game that was unrelated to any real athletics. That said, upon moving to Quebec he has taken on a few new hobbies. The biggest of which is curling, something he does quite often during breaks in the schedule, and when meeting up with old QCC teammates. Perhaps if curling were a big thing in Korea, and specifically Busan in general, there could be a world where Ju-gong worked his way up to the Olympics team for South Korea. Still, without hockey he’d likely have never stepped onto an ice sheet in the first place. |
