Niclas Sundqvist is a winter sports person at heart. When he grew up, it was all about the winter sports. He never did anything more related to the summer like football. Instead he was invested into three sports. Hockey (of course), cross country skiing and curling. As he grew up, his interests shifted and more and more focus was put into hockey, to the detriment of the other two sports. As a man still on ice a lot, curling still attracts Sundqvist and sometimes he finds himself in a curling game as a pasttime/relaxation. Sometimes, when daydreaming, he also reflects over how his life would have been as a cross country skier. He was decent at the sport when he left it, and with some more dedication could probably have gotten quite good. It did not fit his natural physique as hockey does however, so the results would probably have been much more difficult to achieve and choosing hockey as the career is most likely the correct choice in the end.
