Since it is around Winter Classic time, we might as well share some stories about it, shouldn't we. Being from Scotland, a place that is universally known for being cold, one would think that Drew McIntyre would have plenty of opportunities for outdoor winter hockey hijinks. That however was not the case because along with being cold, Scotland is also known for being rainy... like all the time. The only time snow really hit scotland in any significant way (as in, appearing beyond the northern part of the country) was on rare circumstances and thus, winter hockey was nothing but a pipe dream for Drew.
If a league wanted to do a winter classic in Scotland, there are plenty of potential places for them to play in scotland. The biggest arena would be Murrayfield which at capacity could hold over 67,000 people. Drew doesn't know if that will ever happen but that would be amazing! |
