One other winter sport that I enjoy playing is curling. Curling is a sport that I took up at a young age from my mother. My mom worked at the local curling arena which allowed me to spend a lot of time there. Either before it opened or after it closed. Now, I'll be honest curling is not a sport I enjoy watching. Watching it feels slow to me. But when you’re playing, the game moves quickly and is quite strategic.
Many people might say they enjoy skiing or snowboarding, but honestly, I was never good at either, which makes it hard to enjoy. That said, I do love a good GT Racer ride down the hill. Growing up it was one of my favorite things to do as a kid. In the winter I also play a lot of indoor sports such as pickleball or ball hockey to keep up my cardio and stamina over the Christmas break. All in all playing hockey doesn’t leave much time for other winter sports, so I’m glad I get to enjoy the few that I have time to play.
