growing up in fiji, there is no opportunity to play ice hockey out doors as fiji tends to get very hot. this is because the majority of radiation from the suns rays get absorbed by the surrounding ocean, so basically the ocean acts as a way to keep heat around the country. because of this, any outdoor game held in fiji would very quickly turn into a game of water polo. which would not make for much of a winter classic. these games when used sparingly in a season can be very special for fans to watch. i think the colorado raptors would have the carolina kraken as outdoor opponents, especially with last seasons playoffs going to game 7. this would be a cool rematch kind of story. after moving to colorado from fiji enlightened centrist has had many of opportunities to play in outdoor games. the atmosphere is simply completely different playing under the open night sky and having 3 times as many fans at the games and in a much larger arena.
