Written Option 2:

Javelin Bodine was always incredibly interested in a lot of other winter sports besides hockey. He was mostly interested in snowboarding because growing up they always seemed to be the cool dudes. He learned to snowboard in his early teenage years and is an overal decent snowboarder. He certainly would never have been able to be a professional snowboarder though. Professional snowboarders are incredibly talented and fearless! They go off massive jumps that Javelin couldn't even dream of surviving. Even with a ton of time on the mountain, Javelin wouldn't have been anything more than your average snowboarder. He can partake in some minimal jumps, rails, and box rails, but it ends there. Javelin doesn't really love the trick park that much at any mountain though. His love of snowboarding is more in trail riding down a simple blue square or green circle trail. Maybe he should've taken up skiing instead, they seem to work a lot less when simply going down the mountain.
