Playing outdoor hockey games is a very familiar concept for Gordon William Gibbles. Having grown up in the Twin Cities in Minnesota, they have many memories of playing outdoors on local ponds with their friends as well as going to watch his father play in SHL Winter Classics. The latest Winter Classic is special to Gordon William as it is being held in Minnesota and they decided to host an alumni game between the Monarchs and Syndicate. This would be the first time both GW Gibblles and Collin Gibbles would don the same Minnesota Jersey to play hockey. It gave GW Gibbles a chance to feel like a kid again watching his dad play hockey one more time in the Minnesota Green. While the SHL game against the Syndicate may not have been as impressive or star studded, being able to step out into the stadium in front of the fans means the world to Gibbles as he managed to find the back of the net.
