Written Option 2: Gwendolyn's got a basic grasp of snowboarding, but this often comes from her occasional visits in the Alpes when she grew up. They were a few days trip away, but her family at the time was well off enough to take several weeks off at a time. She's always loved the rush and excitement of sliding down massive slopes with stunning mountain views, and it's something she plans to pursue even further living in Edmonton with the stunning views here. She's heard that industry is large anyway... Otherwise, nowadays Gwendolyn spends so much time training that it's a bit difficult to entertain the idea of a several day vacation up in the mountains, or the camping that can accompany it. As for her skills... well, she isn't awful, but there's a reason she's playing hockey instead. There's a different sort of love for snowboarding that doesn't translate well into professional play.
