Written Option 2:
The season is coming to an end but some players still take every game as if it were their last. Normand Marineau is one of those players. He always gives his last ounce of sweat to his teammates and fans when he's on the ice. That's why what fans got to witness between the Colorado Raptors and the Detroit Falcons is something straight out of a movie. With the game tied 1-1 in the third period, Marineau is on the ice with only 5 minutes left. With the Falcons cycling the puck in the Raptor's defensive zone, a one-time shot from Falcons defenseman Twinkle Toes is blocked by Marineau's shin, causing him to fall in a heap of pain. Because the puck deflected off Marineau so hard, it traveled the length of the ice to Falcons' goalie John Gibson. As he tries to receive the puck, it slides right under his stick blade and goes into the net. Marineau was swiftly transported to the locker room and never got a chance to celebrate his goal.
