The Calgary Dragons were in a tight race with the Los Angeles Panthers for the 3rd spot in the Pacific division, and the two teams faced off in Los Angeles late in the year. The Game was hugely important for playoff seeding, and things did not start off well for the Dragons. The Panthers scored two in the first, but the Dragons answered back with goals from Sonja Solberg and Anna Skovgaard, the latter of which would go on to carry the Dragons in one of the most important regular season wins of the year. Her line mate James Rowlett scored a couple of nice goals to give the Dragons a lead, but then the Panthers answered back to keep it close. Anna decided to end the game in the third, scoring twice to finish off her first SHL hat trick and silence the home crowd of the Panthers. The third goal was an absolute beauty, Anna got sprung on a breakaway and put it right in between the goalies legs to send a few hats raining onto the ice.
