The movie would be a serious hockey drama about the softening of professional hockey. Named 'Grit' it would follow one of the last true enforcers (Chad Checkerson, a defenceman who barely slots in as a 6th defender) in the league as they are slowly pushed out of their team and the league as a whole. Akerson's role on the movie set would be as the fight director and character coach, making sure that all of the nitty gritty details of being a tough guy in a league going soft are followed. He'd make sure all of the fight detail are perfect. He knows he has a chance to make an impression on the general public and make tough guys in hockey seem cool again. For his cameo, it wouldn't' be much. He's be a silent assistant coach, standing behind the bench with his big movement being him nodding sagely as Chad Checkerson beats up an opposing enforcer to give his team the push they need to win the big game.
