With Jennifer the only one not sick, and facing down Seattle at home in the playoffs, Jen made a desperation call to the Dragons biggest rivals: The Edmonton Blizzard. Having missed the playoffs again, and being close geographically, she was hoping for a “The enemy of the enemy is my friend” situation. Lo and behold, the Blizzard answered the call. Both goalies, all 6 defenseman, and all forwards except for Simon Science. Jennifer ended up playing on the new Calgary top line with Gwendolyn Telenn at center and Olafur Atlason at left wing, bumping Alexa Johansen to the second line with Surkhi-Zeev and Cajabi. Seattle is a good team, but Edmonton has had success against them, and now with Jennifer on the wing she was hoping they would be able to hold the lead. Mathieson gave up two goals to Fenix and Kondos, but Jennifer was able to score an empty netter after Seatlle pulled Losanov for the extra man, and Calgary held on to win 7-5 thanks to the Blizzard.
