If all of the Detroit locker had food poison I as the general manager would look to the local Detroit hockey leagues for the best people I could find. Detroit has a good amount of youth leagues with players who are 18-24 and they would be able to hold onto our 6-3 lead. It would also help to serve as a recruiting point for Detroit. Our scouts already partner with the local leagues so this would deepen the bond and give some players a chance to play in a semi pro junior league. In fact some of the players I would pull are already on our reserve list. Detroit would also look for local SMJHL free agents that are local to Detroit. If needed to fill in the gaps everyone who Detroit hires knows or learns how to skate as part of their safety training since they will be in, on, and around the ice. In 1 hour we could easily get 20 prospects and that is without even asking our loyal fan base to jump on the ice which all of them would love to have the chance to skate for us.
