S80 saw the Toronto North Stars regress from the previous season. For team stats their powerplay dropped from 24.9% to 20.4% while their SA/GP ballooned to 40.85 from 33.63. This is reflected in their Goals For and Goals Against with GF dropping to 220 from 264 and GA rising to 287 from 216. It seems other teams had sorted Toronto's killer powerplay from last season and forced them to giveaway the puck 160 more times than S79. At a personnel level Lasse Zeigler and Aumy Junior II S% came back down to earth. In S79 they were shooting a ridiculous 21.9% and 20.4% respectively. This past season they shot 13.0% and 12.8%. Looking at Lasse Zeigler's S79 PDO of 105, many people could've have predicted some regression to the mean. All said, a combination of luck in S79 along with competition figuring their strategies out in S80 resulted in an unfortunate season that the North Stars hope to bounce back from next season.
