As for a rookie season, it was pretty alright. Not a season one could look back on as a crowning achievement, but it was a pretty solid first performance. Walking in as a rookie second line winger on a team just looking to set a foundation for the future was a big ask. Normally you would see a youngster start down on the third line to get their feet wet in the league. This team was a different story. Each line had a rookie at its center and the defense was less than ideal. Putting up 33 points in 66 games is a solid campaign. Not award worthy or anything. That can be saved for the guys who had better line mates or were put in a better situation to succeed. The next steps are to grow with the other rookies into our sophomore season, improve that turnover ratio, and start being more productive on the player advantage.
