The beginning of my stuffs:
1. Fan Appreciation Day: Fan appreciation is the pinnacle of any team, but it takes a dedicated person to really go all in for a non-Major league team, and those fans deserve something to cherish. For Quebec City we designed a little owl figurine giveaway to all of the fans who showed up for our final regular season home game. Designed with the thought of nurturing the youth players, the design is three adult snow owls behind a baby owlet. Written on the feathers of each of the adults are the names and numbers of all of the players from the 3 previous seasons drafted to Quebec City and on the baby are the names and numbers from this past season's draft and player pickups. These owls are on a nest with the season's start and end dates along with a star on each side representing the two back to back championships prior to it. (151 words / +3 TPE) 10. In the Zone I feel that I was one of the players for Quebec City that was able to shine in a very difficult playoff run for us. Being a part of the only line that had all three players finish positive, it was a shock that I was able to continue a pretty decent regular season where I finished a +28 in 66 games to finish +9 in 10 in the playoffs. I also was able to have some very high game ratings, with a 76 Game Rating comprised of a 75 Offensive rating and a 74 Defensive rating. Regular season didn't treat me kind, only putting up a 65 Defensive rating, so there was a really big improvement there which I feel is going to do wonders going into next season. I also doubled my shooting % going from 9% to 17.4%. That change to the curve on the stick definitely helped since all regular season it was like shooting at a walrus (hi Wal Rus) blocking the entire net. Being on pace for 60 points at a 25/35 split to goals and assists made me realize that there is a lot of untapped potential ready to be unleashed. Evil is finally back ![]() (203 words / +4 TPE) 16. Goals After this first season I feel that my goals can increase immensely. Playing out of my initial position and thriving as a Left Winger but still putting up 50 points in a very stamina crushing schedule shows that I can do more. Going back to my initial plan of being a right winger and having my linemate from the playoffs Duke Howard with me should lead to more opportunities. I also feel that I will be a cornerstone of next season's top line (or two) along with the power play and possibly penalty kill. My goal for next season are to double my goal output to at least 30 and also put up 50 assists, aiming for a point total around 80. I feel these are all very optimistic of what may be a challenging first season due to the loss of a lot of the top players, but I believe that we do have a great core that should be able to help each other crush the upcoming season. From a team goal, I want to see us dominate the regular season. Obviously I would want another trophy, but a more realistic goal might be a top 3 spot. Seeing how many teams are losing very few (or zero) players, I know it will be a major challenge to stay on top of the standings, so aiming for that first round home game I feel is attainable without being soul-crushing if it's not achieved. Finally, I want to actually see us keep up the overall positive +/- across the board. We had solid lines and did really well both on even strength and shorthanded so I feel having a positive average, or even everyone being positive, could be attainable. A very very personal goal is to finally score on my friend @Deli (Tyler Bodega from Great Falls). My group of 4 friends joined alongside me and we all had a goal of scoring on him, however none of us did. It will be great to finally break that wall and start the strobes and goal horn with that puck behind him ![]() (351 words / +7 TPE) 18.
