4. Depth players are worth it I would argue, if you are looking to push either doing a full rebuild or a slight rebuild to get a new core of players on the team a bit further down the road. They still have a bit more TPE than the newer players but they also have something that the newer players will not have for a good while: chemistry. Chemistry is so important and being able to have decent enough players with strong chemistry will keep a third line performing well above their paygrade, and is absolutely worth the cost, as seen by Tampa Bay's performance in recent seasons. - 107 words, +2 TPE, 5/8 Total 5. Franchise hockey manager 8 has shown to repeatedly favor offense over defense, and so without a doubt having a strong core of forwards is more important than having a strong core of defenseman. Not to diss on defenseman, they are still very important, but it is just how franchise hockey manager does things. - 53 words, +1 TPE, 6/8 Total 12. It really depends on how much control the expansion GMs have over which players they get to take. If they can take whoever they want a lot of teams are going to get hit hard, most likely losing some very good players and having to figure out how to plug new holes in their lines. On the other hand, if they have less control I think teams that have older rosters will be hit harder. Teams that recently drafted a bunch of new players are not losing someone with a ton of experience, and those players are more easily replaced than older players. - 103 words, +2 TPE, 8/8 Total |
